About once a month, members of the CCC team visit a roadside café in Phnom Penh owned and run by our friend Souly.

Some of the passers-by spend their days pushing a barrow or bicycle up and down the streets and collecting items put out by householders for recycling, which they then sell in bulk to a dealer. Others are manual labourers. Most earn barely enough to keep alive and cannot usually afford to stop at the café for something to eat.

When our team is there, and when prompted by the Holy Spirit, they invite people to come in and have a free meal or take away some free food for later. While they wait for their food, we ask if they would like to hear the good news about the Lord Jesus. If, and only if, they agree, we tell them. There is no pressure, no hard sell. Some decline, but others are interested and ask questions.

We sow seeds, offer love and compassion, and let God do the rest.
