CCC paid all or part of the school fees for three children in 2025. CCC also contributed to the running costs of a small, informal village school.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC was represented in Cambodia by a Country Director and two part-time assistants (all women). The activities of this team included:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Church planting using an organic, home-based approach. A church, led by the Country Director, met weekly for worship, prayer, Bible study, breaking of bread and fellowship meals according to the New Testament pattern of Acts chapter two.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Support for a village church. The CCC team visited the church each month and participated in its Sunday meetings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC made grants in response to two emergencies: the earthquake in Myanmar and the displacement of refugees from the fighting along the border between Cambodia and Thailand.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC made miscellaneous grants to people in need, for example, assisting with medical and funeral costs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC made monthly grants to elderly widows with low incomes. In December CCC made the first monthly grant to a family of orphans being cared for by their widowed grandmother.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The team met frequently online for prayer and Bible study, and CCC\u2019s Executive Director continued a four-times-weekly online Bible study for them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC continued its support for the <i>Cambodia for Christ<\/i> (CfC) sports ministry, which aims to keep teenage boys away from drugs and criminal gangs by enrolling them in football teams. CfC also runs football teams for girls and younger boys. CCC made regular grants to help pay for the running costs of this ministry, as well as providing some financial support for its director.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The Country Director made a private visit to the United Kingdom, during which she had the opportunity to speak in church meetings about her life story and her present ministry with CCC.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The Chairman and Director made visits to Cambodia (at their own expense), during which they had opportunities to teach and preach in churches and meet CCC\u2019s partners and beneficiaries.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Governance<\/h2>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC is governed by a Council, of whom five members are trustees. No Council member receives any payment for his or her services. CCC does not employ any staff in the United Kingdom.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The major risks to which CCC is exposed, as identified by the trustees, and the systems in place to mitigate those risks were reviewed during the year. The trustees also reviewed CCC\u2019s code of practice, internal financial controls, and staff remuneration and safeguarding policies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Public Benefit<\/h2>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Registered charities are required to benefit the public.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC provided benefit in the form of the payment of educational fees for children enrolled at schools in Cambodia. The section of the public qualifying for the benefit consisted of Cambodian children receiving high-quality education at private schools in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. CCC provided sponsorship to students whose families could not afford to pay the fees for their children to attend private schools. CCC considers applications for sponsorship on the basis of availability of funds, need (i.e., the inability of an applicant\u2019s parents to pay fees), the likelihood of the applicant completing the course of study and the reputation of the institution at which the applicant wishes to study.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC also benefited disadvantaged members of Cambodian society and young people at risk.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC does not discriminate between potential beneficiaries on the basis of their religion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Finance<\/h2>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC\u2019s income, plus some of the charity\u2019s reserves, was used to fulfil the commitments agreed by the trustees to pay school fees, support <i>Cambodia for Christ<\/i> and make grants to widows, orphans, the poor and the needy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Funding for administration and the support payments made to our staff in Cambodia and their travelling expenses was provided by gifts from Council members and tax recovered in connection with undesignated gifts given through Gift Aid.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The trustees are conscious of the need to use as much as possible of donated income for activities of direct benefit to the people of Cambodia and elsewhere. CCC\u2019s operations are conducted by volunteers in an effort to minimise overheads. Council members bear some administrative and travel costs personally.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>The Future<\/h2>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">As a charity undergirded by Christian principles and one that seeks to operate by faith in Almighty God, CCC faces a number of challenges and opportunities:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">to trust God for the provision of sufficient funds for the ministries the Council believe He has led CCC to support;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">to seek God\u2019s provision of substantial additional funding for Timothy College and Business Institute;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">to be sensitive to the political situation in Cambodia;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">to ensure that funds sent to Cambodia are used for charitable purposes and not abstracted for corrupt or fraudulent purposes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">In 2026 the trustees\u2019 objectives are:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To continue the sponsorship of school children and support the continuation and expansion of the informal village school.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To continue our support for the <i>Cambodia for Christ<\/i> sports ministry.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To increase our provision of assistance to widows, orphans and the poor.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To pursue CCC\u2019s vision for the establishment of Timothy College and Business Institute.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To make the needs of Cambodia and the work of CCC more widely known.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">CCC\u2019s medium- and long-term objectives are:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To help provide improved access to primary and secondary education for children from low-income families in Cambodia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To contribute to an improvement in the standard of living of widows, orphans and the poor in Cambodia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To encourage public interest in Cambodia and financial support for ministry to its people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To mobilise prayer support for the people and church of Cambodia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">To respond to any direction from the Lord to engage in other ministry in Cambodia or elsewhere.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Trustees and Council Members<\/h2>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The trustees were saddened by the death of their Chairman, Russel Bower, in February. Russel had been a Council member for many years. In addition to the service Russel gave to CCC, he had been involved in ministry to the Jewish people and Christians suffering persecution.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The following were members of the Council during 2024.
