Timothy School<\/h3>\n

Timothy School is a ministry of\u00a0Cambodia for Christ<\/em> and is based in a village to the south-east of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It is an informal school that aims to supplement the curriculum of the village’s state schools by offering classes in<\/p>\n

  • English, for children and young people aged 4 to 18;<\/li>\n
  • computer studies; and<\/li>\n
  • music (guitar, piano and drums).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Over a hundred children are enrolled. If parents can afford it, they pay a small fee for their children’s tuition. The majority of families cannot even afford to pay this, so their children attend free of charge. Classes take place in the early evening and at weekends.<\/p>\n

    The classrooms have been formed by erecting partitions in the space under a house on stilts. CCC made a grant to equip the school with computers, tables, chairs and floor coverings. Another donor paid for the partitions. CCC also makes a monthly grant to enable the principal of the school to work part-time in his day job so that he has extra time for managing the school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
