At the CCC Council meeting on 15 March 2015, the Treasurer informed the Council that we were approximately £1,000 short of the amount that we needed to send to Cambodia by the end of the month. Convinced that (1) ‘God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply’ (Hudson Taylor), and (2) it is God’s responsibility to provide for His work, not ours — our responsibility is just to ask in faith, we simply laid the matter before the Lord in prayer and moved on to the next item of business.
24 hours later we had received £600 of the required amount. Half of this was in the form of an unexpected gift from a church at which we had been invited to speak about Cambodia and the work of CCC.
We hope this will encourage you, as it does us, to pray for God’s provision of the remainder of the money.
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4: 19)
